Yews is a 26yr old Latina from Chicago, a self taught multimedia artist with a background in graffiti. Now creating artwork entirely from found, donated or gifted items, with the goal of empowering the concept of nothing into something. Her artwork lives in the intersection of typography, color, and abstraction. Letter forms art pushed beyond legibility- used not just to communicate but to construct visual rhythms, texture and functionality.
